Shipping And Handling

Orders over £25.00 are shipped to mainland UK addresses FREE of charge. Smaller orders below £25.00 will carry a shipping charge of just £5.00.

Delivery Schedule

We process orders very quickly. Providing the items ordered are in stock, we will normally dispatch on the same day. Sewing machines, Overlockers and other large items are sent out via Parcel force for next working day delivery. Smaller items are sent out via royal mail and delivery will normally take up to 2 working days. This delivery schedule applies to orders downloaded during weekdays before 2pm. Orders placed after 2pm on Fridays or during the weekend will normally be dispatched on the following Monday (excluding Bank Holidays) We will endevour to ship your your order within this schedule, we will not be held responsible for delays and resulting consequences thereof, caused by any third party. We choose our carriers carefully, and they work hard to make sure your order arrives safely and in good time. Although rare, delays in delivery are sometimes unavoidable owing to problems outside their control such as: heavy traffic congestion, bad weather or an unexpectedly high volume of parcels.

f your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges

Prices shown in our online catalogue include VAT (sales tax) except books which are zero rated.
Customers ordering from overseas i.e. outside of the EU should click the ’Tax Exempt’ box during the checkout procedure to reduce the sales tax to zero.

During the guarantee period if your machine is found to be in need of attention owing to problems caused through faulty components and/or poor workmanship, we will arrange collection, repair and return of your machine at no charge. This does not affect your statutory consumer rights and will apply only to machines purchased for use in the UK mainland and used for normal domestic purposes, and does not cover consumable items such as: needles, needle threaders, bobbins, light bulbs, belts, loopers, blades etc - as stated on the manufacturers guarantee document

Very often, problems on sewing machines and overlockers are down to user error. Customers who have purchased their machine from Cooper’s can use the above phone number for free help and advice. If we find that your machine is in need of workshop attention, our free collection - repair and return facility will be quickly arranged. . Please retain the original packing materials -
just incase your machine has to be returned to us.
Where any extension is offered in addition to the manufacturer’s normal guarantee.
A written guarantee will be provided with the machine to cover the extended term. The extended term offer applies only to machines purchased via telephone mail order or online. To qualify for the extended term of guarantee, machines must be paid for in full at the point of ordering.
Free collection & Return applies to all machines in our online catalogue, unless stated otherwise.

Returns Policy

7 day money back guarantee.
If for any reason you are not satisfied with a product purchased via our Online Catalogue, you may return it for a refund. This is in addition to your statutory rights as a consumer in the United Kingdom
The following terms and conditions will apply:

1/ Machines
Sewing Machines, Embroidery Machines, Overlockers, Dress Forms, Horn Sewing Cabinets.
Are only covered by this guarantee if they were purchased for normal domestic purposes and used in a household environment.

2/ You must let us know
The Customer must inform us of any intention to return the item / items within 7 days of receipt of the goods either by phone or email.
Where items have arrived damaged in transit, the customer must inform us about this within 24 hours from receipt of the goods.

3/ Faulty or Damaged Goods
Cooper’s will arrange collection of goods from addresses in mainland United Kingdom and pay the return carriage cost if: the item / items were found to be faulty, transit damaged or if the item was sent in error.

4/ Dislike, or unhappy with your purchase, goods ordered by mistake.
With the exception of items that were delivered and found to be damaged or faulty.
The customer will pay the return carriage cost if the item was ordered in error, or if the customer simply does not want the goods. Under such circumstances, where valuable items are being returned i.e. Sewing Machines, Overlockers, Cabinets, Software etc, it is advisable that customers should opt for insured shipping, as Coopers will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to goods returned for refund. Refunds will only be issued upon safe receipt of the goods being returned.

5/ Must be unused and in new condition.
With the exception of items that were delivered and found to be damaged or faulty:
Goods being returned for a refund must be unused. They must also be returned in their original packaging and in new condition. Software, Memory Cards, Design CDs must be unopened and any security seals and / or shrink-wrap must be intact.


6/Refund payments.
Where payment has been made by credit / debit card, monies refunded can only be applied to the card which the customer used to make the original purchase.
For security purposes, we may need to contact the customer to verify details. Under normal circumstances refunds will be credited to customers within 30 business days of returned items being safely received back at Coopers

7/ Goods returned incomplete.
Cooper’s will adjust the amount refunded to cover any items found to be missing from orders that have been returned. It is up to the customer to check that all accessories, notions, peripheral devices and other items such as manuals, foot controls etc that were included in the original order are not missing before being parceled up and returned.

8/ Pack Carefully
Please ensure that you carefully pack any items being returned to us.
As the sender; the customer is responsible for the return carriage and we will not cover the cost of goods that get damaged in transit on their way back to us.



 




WEEE Regulations:

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law. The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment.  The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste equipment free of charge.

The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK.

Much of the UK’s WEEE ends up in landfill, where the lead and other toxins it contains can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also human health.

Many electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled.  Recycling items helps to save our natural finite resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill. 

Distributors of new Electric and Electronic Equipment (EEE) have a part to play in reducing the amount of WEEE going into landfill sites.

Customers must return their WEEE item to us within 28 days of purchasing their new item.
